This is the website of Dan Sumption, professional event photographer and editor of FAD magazine.
First things first: please check out the photo galleries, the heart of this site, featuring lots of cool photos of (mainly) Sheffield people and bands on fun nights out: flambouyant, sexy, crazy, wonderful people living it up at Sheffield's many pubs, clubs and other late-night venues.
The galleries on Dan Shot Me are a nightly document, an unedited stream-of-consciousness peek at the places I go to. The photographs are of varying quality. On my photography portfolio website you can take a step back to get an overview of my best work. Or at least you could, if only I kept it a little more up-to-date.
Almost all of my photos are for sale, as JPEGs (good for sticking on Myspace, Facebook etc), prints and in many other formats. See the prices page for more details. News flash! Sale now on - all prices have been slashed!

- Teenage Kicks at the Vegas Gallery, Redchurch Street - best London art show I've been to in ages, some wonderful stuff here, all vibrant and raw with the emotions of teenage kicks. So hard to beat.
- Déjà Vu - Carr, Carnet & Guy exhibition opening at BLOC - the first art show of BLOC's 2007/8 season, featuring work from Alison Carr, Laure Carnet and Lesley Guy.
- The Pat Thomas Quartet, Raagnagrok and Glynn Heppenstall at Bar Abbey - a Freenoise gig, featuring Pat Thomas (who played at the first ever free-improv gig I went to, Derek Bailey's Company Week 1991), synth-sitar drone duo Raagnagrok and noise technician Heppenstall.
I have two very limited edition books of my photos for sale. The books, Pernoctators (party people) and Ponderosa (traces of crime), are both approximately US-letter size, with a hard cover and 22 internal pages. There are only 20 copies of each book available, and every one is individually numbered and signed. The books are £36 each, including postage to wherever in the world you happen to be, or £66 for both books - I realise this sounds rather expensive, but the books are exceptionally high quality, strictly limited editions (currently remaining: Pernoctators - 10 copies, Ponderosa - 11 copies).
